About OCHA
Our Mission
Transforming lives through a place to call home.
Our Vision
Our vision is for OCHA to be the leading example of inclusive affordable housing with support services that will empower and equip individuals and families to flourish.
Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity
The Oklahoma City Housing Authority provides equal housing opportunities to all without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, or sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, familial status, marital status, genetic information (including family medical history), veteran status or any other status protected by applicable law or regulation.
Oklahoma City Housing Authority
Established in September 1965, the OCHA currently owns Public Housing consisting of over 2,700 units. In addition, the OCHA administers approximately 5,071 Housing Vouchers in the Oklahoma City area. This enables us to provide housing and rental assistance to low-income people and their families with a capacity of over 7,772 dwelling units.
In addition to our two housing programs, we offer or contract many assistance and training programs to help our residents in becoming self-reliant, for the Oklahoma City Housing Authority is "a Hand up, not a Handout".
