The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) is a rental assistance program that assists very low-income families, elderly, and disabled households to choose a home in the private rental market where vouchers are accepted.

To Apply
You must register in the Application Portal with a login and password then follow the directions to complete the on-line application process. You will receive an e-mail once you have completed the registration process with your user name. All applicants must have a valid e-mail address to apply for any open Housing Choice Voucher program wait list. If you do not have an e-mail address, there are links to free e-mail accounts available on the Application Portal.

• Applications are available on-line only; no paper applications will be available or accepted.
• Applications are only accepted for open waiting lists.
• Eligible applications received through the Application Portal will be entered on the waiting list in the order received (date and time).

To complete the application for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, you will need the following information for all persons who are (or will be) in your household:

• Full legal name
• Social Security number
• Date of birth
• Annual Income from all sources (before taxes or deductions)

You will receive an e-mail once you have started the application process stating that you have initiated the on-line application process. You may only apply for any open waitlist with OCHA once; additional applications will not be accepted.
