Eligibility & Income Limits
Eligibility is based on your family size and your household's gross annual income (the amount you earn before taxes or other deductions). You may qualify as an individual or family if your income falls within the low- or very low-income limits set by national standards.
Rent is based on your household's income and family circumstances. When calculating your rent, OCHA considers any eligible deductions allowed under program guidelines. Each year, OCHA reviews your household information to help ensure your rent does not exceed 30% of your adjusted monthly income. If your household size or income changes during the year, you may request an interim review to determine whether your rent should be adjusted.

- You qualify as an individual or a family, as defined by OCHA.
- You are at least 18 years of age or an emancipated minor under state law.
- You and/or family members have an annual income that does not exceed the applicable income limits established by HUD, at the time of admission.
- All adult members of the household must pass a criminal background check.
- At least one household member must meet HUD requirements on citizenship or immigration status.
- You and family members have a good housing history.
- You and family members that will reside with you are not a lifetime registered sex offender.
- You and family members that will reside with you have not committed any drug or violent crimes in the past 3 years.
- You and family members that will reside with you do not owe any Housing Authority money.
- You, or your spouse, are near elderly (age 50 or older) or elderly (age 62 or older)
- You or your spouse has a qualifying disability. There is no age requirement for applicants with a disability.
