Eligibility & Income Limits

Eligibility is determined by family size, and gross (amount before any taxes or deductions) annual income for the family.  You may be eligible as an individual or a family if your gross annual income does not exceed income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  There are no minimum income requirements.

You may be eligible if:

  • You are a family or single person whose income does not exceed established limits (See below).
  • You or family members that will reside with you are not a lifetime registered sex offender.
  • You or family members that will reside with you have not committed any drug or violent crimes in the past 3 years.
  • You or family members that will reside with you do not owe any Housing Authority money.

Local Preference

A local preference for the disabled will be given for HV program. If the Head of Household or Spouse meet the definition of a person with disabilities, you are eligible for the disabled preference and will be placed on the waiting list ahead of applicants who are not disabled.
