OCHA Named MAPS4 Operator

On March 28, 2023, the City Council of Oklahoma City selected Oklahoma City Housing Authority (OCHA) as operator of the city’s $55.76 million MAPS 4 Homelessness Project. We are honored to have been selected as operator of this monumental project which will help to transform low-income and affordable housing across Oklahoma City. We will work with our partners at Homeless Alliance, Mental Health Association of Oklahoma and Pivot to impact members of the community experiencing, and at risk of experiencing, homelessness.

The funds will go toward the preservation of at least 1,500 units and the creation of at least 500 supportive housing units and 150 workforce homes. Over the course of the next decade, grant funds will be disbursed to OCHA approximately every two years. These grant disbursements began with the obligation of $10.76 million to OCHA by the City Council on March 28th, 2023.

The first allocation of funds will go towards

  1. Supportive Housing: 150-200 new units
  2. Oak Grove Apartments redevelopment
  3. Creston Park redevelopment (formally known as the NE Duplexes)

We expect that funding from MAPS 4 could potentially leverage $100 million in this initial allocation and more than $400 million in additional housing funding from other sources over the next decade.
