Resident Opportunities Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Program
ROSS Coordinators work with residents by recruiting new program participants, conducting needs assessments, facilitating resident goal setting, and making referrals to services and provide case management and coaching using a client-centered approach to residents. Coordinators work collaboratively with residents to meet resident’s needs, create, and maintain a confidential environment, and assist in coordinating educational and/or community events.
Eligibility
- Residents 18 years or older
- Resident must be living in one of the properties listed
- Residents motivated to move through a journey of self-sufficiency
- Ambassador Courts
- Will Rogers Courts
- Oak Grove
- MLK Scattered Sites
- Fred Factory
The ROSS Program revolves around the following points
- Financial Literacy - Budgeting, credit workshops, and debt reduction
- Education - Adult literacy classes such as GED/HISET, vocational training, and college courses
- Employment - Job readiness workshops, connections to local employers, resume and interview and preparation
- Health & Wellness -
- Digital Inclusion - Basic computer skills, access to WIFI, online job search and application availability

Family Self-Sufficiency
The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program is a voluntary program that helps families living in the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Project Based Voucher programs increase their income, achieve financial independence, and work towards long-term goals such as homeownership, education, and career advancement.
